Message Street? Usually don't need a BBK unless you're doing hard, ABS lock up type stops over and over... then you'll have to worry more about the people stopping time behind you.
SS lines, better pads, rotors and good brake fluid will do the job fine.

Show? the most expensive all-carbon brakes money can buy for pure ballah cred :) The more you spend, the better your rep with the locals at the Friday night Target parking lot meets.

Serious Track? Full Stoptech kit with decent pads, not the Axxis stuff they usually ship with. I like my Wilwood kit from Russell @ RMS Horsepower, however I'm not wild about messing with an in-car proportioning valve setup for the rear kit. I've been fine with the front kit and changing the grade of the rear pads on the stock rear calipers to balance bias. My setup is extremely firm, consistent and predictable, as Mixman has mentioned above. Not much bling appeal to my setup, however.

Prolly recommend a full Stoptech kit as your current best bang for the buck.
